Square Appointments is a flexible scheduling system for your business and a simple booking tool for your clients. New and existing clients can easily find details about your services, view your availability and book appointments from your website or from your free Square booking site. Manage your business and your appointments calendar in one place with Square Appointments Free, Plus or Premium plans.
Your customers can pay for in-person appointments using an accepted card, Tap to Pay on Android or Afterpay. Learn how to enable Afterpay for your Square account.
Note: Afterpay acceptance is not yet available with Square Appointments Online booking sites.
Get started with Appointments Free
If you’re using Square Appointments Free, you can access all of the Appointments features – with absolutely no monthly subscription fee for one location. You’ll only pay Square’s standard processing fee when you accept your client’s card for payment.
To start using Appointments Free:
Go to Appointments in your online Square Dashboard.
Click Get Started.
Choose that you wish to get started with our Free plan from the plan selection page.
Provide the requested business and personal information. This information will be reflected in your public profile and online booking site.
To add staff members to your account, click Staff and create each of their profiles. Your monthly subscription includes an unlimited number of staff.
Create services by providing the requested service details > click Continue. Services are chosen by your clients at the time of booking.
Preview your online Square booking page. This link will be public so clients can make online bookings.
When you’re ready, click Publish to complete.

Get Started with Appointments Plus or Premium
Go to Appointments in your online Square Dashboard.
Click Get Started.
Choose that you wish to get started with our Plus or Premium plan from the plan selection page.
Provide the requested business and personal information. This information will be reflected in your public profile and online booking site.
To add staff members to your account, click Staff and create each of their profiles. Your monthly subscription includes an unlimited number of staff.
Create services by providing the requested service details > click Continue. Services are chosen by your clients at the time of booking.
Preview your online Square booking page. This link will be public so clients can make online bookings.
When you’re ready, click Publish to complete.

Appointments 30-Day Free Trial
While there is no monthly fee for using Square Appointments Free, when you add staff to your account for booking, you’ll be charged a monthly subscription fee depending on the plan you have.
You can trial Appointments Plus or Premium features and tools free of charge for 30 days to see which option is the right fit for your business. No payment information is required to get started. After the trial ends, you’ll have the option to subscribe to continue accessing Square Appointments Plus or Premium features, or revert to Square Appointments Free.
Note: If you’ve signed up for a free trial and you wish to cancel the service, you’ll need to wait the full 30 days for the trial to complete. To ensure you’re not charged the Square Appointments Plus or Premium monthly fee, visit the Pricing & Subscriptions page on your online Square Dashboard to unsubscribe or upgrade/downgrade your subscription at any time.
Pricing for Square Appointments
There is no cost to use Square Appointments Free for one location. Pay one flat monthly rate per location for Square Appointments Plus or Premium plans. If you subscribe mid-month, you’ll be charged a prorated amount for the remainder of the month. Your rate depends on the number of staff members associated with your account.

Businesses that process over $250k per year in card sales are eligible for custom pricing. Custom priced plans include all features in Premium, a dedicated account manager and discounted bundling of Square business tools listed below. Contact our Sales Team to add tools to any subscription.
Note: Your subscription pricing is the same across all locations on your account. For example, if one location has a subscription for Appointments Plus, another location for the same account will not have access to the Appointments Free Plan. Learn more about Square Appointments plans and features.
