Receipt Search

Square enables businesses to accept card payments on their mobile device through countertop options such as Square Reader, Square Stand, Square Terminal, and Square Register. Square sellers can also accept card payments through Afterpay in-person and online, Invoicing, Appointments, Square Online, third-party app integrations, and other products. While Square was not the merchant that charged you, you may have made a purchase from a business that uses Square to accept credit and debit cards or other payment methods.

As a customer of a Square seller, you are able to search online for your receipts from previous transactions. Square’s receipt search allows you to look up a receipt if any of the following applies:

  • You don’t recognise a charge

  • You need a copy of a receipt

  • You haven’t received a receipt

To look up a charge using Square's receipts search:

  1. Go to squareup.com/receipts using a web browser.

  2. Enter the amount of the charge as seen in your statement, transaction date, and the payment card number used for this transaction.

  3. Click Look up receipt to view your web receipt.

Note: Square transactions begin with SQ * on your internet banking or bank statements, followed by the merchant's business name.

Receipt information is entered and published by the merchant; each merchant chooses to make their contact information public.
