What payment methods are supported by Square POS?
Square works with any U.S.-issued and most internationally issued magstripe or chip cards bearing a Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, JCB, or UnionPay logo. Square also supports digital wallets such as Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Samsung Pay.
In addition to traditional payment methods, Square offers Afterpay for customers looking to spend between $1 and $2,000 for purchases online via Square Online or in person via Square hardware.
How can I switch from my current booking solution?
You can bulk your customer and inventory lists to get up and running quickly with Square. If you currently use Acuity, Booker, Fresha, Vagaro, or another booking software or salon solution, Square will likely fit more of your needs with our easy-to-use interface. If you already have a website, it’s easy to transfer your existing domain to Square Online.
How does Square manage tipping for my Tattoo and piercing business?
Square offers a variety of options for customers to tip through the Square Point of Sale app (iOS/Android) or Square Online Store.
After enabling these settings, artists can display a separate tipping screen where customers can select a tip after the payment has been processed. During the checkout process, customers will be prompted to add a tip amount to their order.
When you process the payment through Square, the tip amount will be added to the total transaction amount.
